Electrical mobility

Climate control – the heating and cooling of the passenger compartment – represents a major challenge for electric vehicles. A purely electrical climate control system can reduce the range of an electric vehicle by more than half. Furthermore, modern battery systems for electric vehicles are very temperature-sensitive and require cooling or heating to maintain high power output. The MAHLE Amovis CoolSteam System presents an interesting alternative, the advantages of which include:

  • CoolSteam– the path to the independent electric vehicle
  • provision of electricity, heating and cooling
  • climate control for the vehicle and battery
  • safety through defrost function for the windows
  • climate control when parked
