Micro-combined heat and power


Micro-combined heat and power systems (µCHP), often called the “power station in the cellar”, will in future play an increasing role in distributed power generation. These are units that supply the heat for a dwelling and at the same time generate electricity that can be fed into the supply network and sold.
The Amovis SteamCell in combination with a low-emission burner offers the following advantages as a µCHP system:

Heat Recovery Systems / SteamCell

Internal combustion engines are using only a part of the fuel energy to produce mechanical power. Large amounts of this energy are lost by cooling and exhaust. The Amovis SteamCell system recovers part of these losses and transfers it to mechanical or electrical energy.
Amovis offers customised, application-oriented solutions:

  • Rankine, ORC or Kalina: we develop Heat Recovery Systems suitable for your application using one of these cycles
  • rotary machines, axial piston expander or conventional piston expander – the best expander concept for your requirements
  • tube or plate steam generator – the application decides
